The language
Hugo Chazot-Ranquet works the photographic image as matter. Through analog processes and darkroom printing, the image is not captured but constructed, shaped by light, chemistry and time.
His practice centres on the silver gelatin print, where grain becomes structure and the hand guides every decision. The print is not a reproduction. It is the moment when the image comes into existence.
